HIGHLIGHTS
- Seres Mini EV price in Nepal starts at Rs. 17.49 Lakhs.
- It is available across two options.
- Mini EV is one of the most affordable EVs in Nepal right now.
Seres has officially reintroduced the Mini EV to the Nepali market, making it available for purchase once again amid intense competition in the small electric vehicle segment.
MAW Vriddhi Autocorp, the authorized distributor of Seres EVs in Nepal, has re-launched their first affordable electric vehicle, Mini EV.
The car is sold under different names in various regions. In the Philippines, it goes by DFSK Candy, while in Indonesia, it is marketed as the Seres E1. Moreover, this shift aligns with the Seres Group’s full acquisition of the DFSK brand in 2022, which gave it complete control over the entire vehicle lineup.
In Nepal, the vehicle is offered as the Seres Mini EV, most likely to maintain brand consistency and simplify market positioning. Seres initially launched the Mini EV in the Nepali market in 2023, but sales temporarily paused. Now, the company has resumed its offerings, bringing back the Mini EV with a revised price tag.
What is the Price of Seres Mini EV in Nepal?
Seres Mini EV price in Nepal starts at Rs. 17.49 Lakhs and goes up to Rs. 18.99 Lakhs.
The variants are now primarily distinguished by their claimed driving range: 180 km and 220 km.
The 180 km range model is priced at Rs. 17.49 Lakhs, while the 220 km range version comes in at Rs. 18.99 Lakhs.
Earlier, the vehicle was available in three trims: Low, Mid, and High. While the Low and Mid trims shared the same motor and battery setup, the Mid trim borrowed several features from the High variant, offering a more feature-rich alternative to the entry-level Low trim.
However, based on market trends and evolving customer expectations, the distributor has discontinued the Low trim in Nepal. Now, only the Mid and High trims are available, respectively called the “180 Km Full Option” and “220 Km Full Option”, respectively.
To add peace of mind, the Mini EV’s battery is backed by a 6-year or 1,20,000 km warranty.

Seres Mini EV Overview
Design
Starting with the design philosophy of the Seres Mini EV, it revolves around simplicity, functionality, and urban adaptability. The car tries its best to not be boring on any aspects and has a likeable design too.
At the front, the bubble-shaped Halogen Headlamps along with integrated side indicators makes up the lighting setup. The centrally placed logo when pressed reveals the charging port (only AC).
Fog lamps are present on the lower end along with some air intakes to cool off the battery but beside this, the small bonnet area, closed off-grille, and a subtle chrome accent finishes up the talking points for the front.
On the side, the most striking elements are the 13-inch Aluminum wheels that gives some aesthetic appeal to the car from this profile. Moving on, the doors are particularly large on the Mini EV and despite being a two-door, it can seat 4 passengers. Also, roof rails are also present.
Coming to the rear, it is pretty basic. The sculpted LED Taillights are infused on either side of the boot door. And, the rear window size is just good enough for ensuring rear visibility but the pillar side can cause some disturbance, in attempts of Mini EV to offer an attractive tallboy design.
On the inside, despite any concerns of a lot of cost cutting (especially seen in cars of this segment), the interior of Mini EV is done pretty well. The seats are quite gigantic spanning all the way to the roof of the car and the upholstery is all fabric.
On the dashboard, there is a centrally placed 8.8-inch Infotainment Screen and a 7-inch Digital Instrument Cluster behind a single-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls.
In an interesting design choice, the Mini EV employs touch panels for HVAC Controls with a Glossy Finish, that sits just below the AC vents. Moreover,
Additionally, Seres Mini EV comes in three colors: Green, White, and Sky Blue.
Performance
As mentioned previously, the Seres Mini EV comes in two variants.
The 180 Km Full Option is powered by a 25 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor. It generates a max power of 34 PS and a max torque of 100 Nm.
And, it is supported by a 13.8 kWh LFP Battery, providing a 180 km of NEDC claimed range. Moreover, it can charge from 0 to 100% in around 4 hours and 30 minutes via 3.3 kW AC Charger.
Similarly, the 220 Km Full Option variant is powered by a 30 kW PMSM, generating 41 PS of max power and 100 Nm of max torque. And, it is supported by a 16.8 kWh LFP Battery with a 220 km of NEDC claimed range. Furthermore, it can charge from 0 to 100% in around 5 hours and 30 minutes.
Both variants get a 3.3kW onboard charger. However, there is no support for Fast DC Charging.
The car gets two drive modes: Eco and Sports. Moreover, the Mini EV comes with a Rear-wheel drive setup and can achieve a top speed of 100 km/h.
However, being a city car, once crosses the 50 or 60 kmph mark, drivers may start to lose confidence as the increased NVH (Noise, Vibration & Harshness) levels begin to affect the overall driving experience and confidence.
Additional Details
MacPherson Strut and Multi-Link suspension setup handles suspension duties.
The dimensions are 3030mm in length, 1495mm in width, and 1640mm. Moreover, the wheelbase is 1960mm.
Seres Mini EV gets 140 mm ground clearance.
It does not offer standard boot space. However, the rear seats are foldable to make room for storage if needed.

Rivals
In Nepal’s budget-friendly mini EV segment, Kaiyi’s e-Qute series currently holds the lead. For a fair comparison, let’s pit the top-spec Mini EV against the e-Qute 02 and see how they stack up.
Starting with the price, the Mini EV is available at Rs. 19 Lakhs, while the e-Qute 02 commands a higher price tag of around Rs. 23 Lakhs. This segment is highly price-sensitive, and even small differences can influence buying decisions. That said, the e-Qute 02 offers significantly more value, making a strong case for buyers willing to spend a little extra.
When it comes to performance, the e-Qute 02 has the upper hand with a 40 kW motor, outpacing the 30 kW motor found in the Mini EV. It also comes with a slightly larger 20.08 kWh battery compared to the Mini EV’s 16.8 kWh pack. While the difference in battery size isn’t massive, both cars are expected to deliver a decent real-world range under normal city driving conditions.
Where the e-Qute 02 truly pulls ahead is in its features and safety offerings.
It comes equipped with premium elements like LED headlights, Leatherette seats, a Larger and more Vibrant Infotainment Display, and a 4-speaker sound system (double what the Mini EV offers). On the safety front, it ups the ante with Dual Airbags, a 360-Degree Camera, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System, whereas the Mini EV settles for a Single Airbag and a basic Reverse Camera.
Given all these upgrades, it’s no surprise that the e-Qute 02 is leading the segment, while the Mini EV currently sits in fourth place.
